PTC-M, Dr.Cure’s proprietary therapeutic adjuvant can be applied first to colon cancer and liver cancer and then expanded to various solid cancers as a universal radiosensitizers.
Confirmation of Tumor Targeting Ability
Tumor targeting ability was verified in a CT26 colorectal cancer mouse model by co-loading the radiosensitizer with a fluorescent marker.
High accumulation within the tumor was observed 24 hours after administration of the radiosensitizer.
After tumor targeting, manganese ions Mn2+ released by ROS-mediated degradation
of the radiosensitizer enabled MRI contrast enhancement at the tumor site.
Verification of Therapeutic Efficacy of the Radiosensitizer
The radiosensitizer alone showed no therapeutic effect.
When combined with radiation, more than 70% tumor inhibition was observed compared to the control group.
In body weight measurements, both the control and radiation-only groups showed gradual weight loss,
whereas the group treated with both the radiosensitizer and radiation maintained stable body weight.
